30th April

We started the session revising the grammar points studied in unit 6. To do so, we did some rephrasing sentences. Here's a direct link to that practice:

After that, we started a new unit from the coursebook, unit 7.
First, we explained and elicited some ideas of what is good or bad luck in Spain, then, we read two texts about two different situations in which some people experienced good and bad luck.(TT.7.1,7.2)
These stories were unfinished, and the students, before listening to what happened next, had to make their own speculations and then, check if they were right.
Then, we read a questionnaire about how lucky they were. They answered the questions, compared their answers in pairs and finally, checked what their scored meant.

To finish, we studied how to make adjectives from nouns adding suffixes like, -able or -y. And how to form their negative form adding prefixes like im- or un-

Homework: Read the text on p.102 and do exercises 5a,b,c
