25th April

We finished unit 6 in the coursebook talking about heroes and icons. To start the session, we listened to a competition on the radio. The students had to guess the name of the famous person described.
Then, we completed a chart in the book with the nouns which refer to professions. We classified the nouns according to their endings(-er,-or,-ian,-ist).

After that, we played a game similar the the competition we listened before. The student took a card radomly and they had to describe that famous person so thier classmates could guess it.

Then, we moved to Practical English section. We watched the video and learnt how to show surprise and interest in a conversation. To consolidate these new structures, we did an oral activity. The students had to tell their partners an anecdote and they had to keep the conversation going showing interest and surprise using the expression from the book.
To finish, we worked the writing section: writing a review. We did the exercises and analysed the structure.
