First, we asked some questions to our classmates about their shopping habits, like:
Do you ever go to a supermaret? Which one?
How often do you go there?
Why do you go to that supermarket?
What do you like or don't you like about it?
Do you ever talk to other people who are shopping there?
Then, back to the book, we read a short introduction to a love story, we looked at some pictures and completed the speech bubbles with the lines in ex.1b
To check it out, we listened to the cd (6.1)
We tried to remember the grammar rules about the reported speech and rewrote a couple of sentences in that style.
We also read and did the grammar exercises from the grammar bank and to consolidate this point, we played a game of correspondence. The stidents had to write short messages to a classmates and finally report their dialogue to the rest of the class.
To finish the session, we tried to find the differences in meaning in some pairs of expressions related to shopping.
