7th March

We started a new unit form the coursebook, unit 5. In this unit we'll work the quantifiers and word formation.
To open the topic, some expressions of time were written on the board, and the students had to say another way of expressing those times.

15 minutes= a quarter of an hour
30 minutes=half an hour
60 minutes= an hour
90 minutes=an hour and a half
150 minutes= two hours and a half

Then, we continued the class, discussing in pairs some questions about how much time we spent on a weekday doing certain activities.
After that, we read 3 short texts by 3 different people and we had to decide if they had a good wokk-life balance or not. And then, choose the correct form of the quantifier to complete the texts.
Then, we went to the grammar bank section and studied some of the most common quantifiers in English, we learnt about their meaning and grammatical structure. To consolidate this point, we did the grammar exercises.
To finish the class, we listened to an expert giving some tips about how to slow down in our lives (T5.3)

Homework: Read either text A or B on p.70 and answer questions in ex.4c
