10th January

We started the class revising the meaning and function of the modal verbs of obligation but in a different context: to describe street signs.
To do so, the students had to watch some slides with specific signs and try to explain their meaning and the country where they could be found.

Then we continued with the course book and a new section: modals of deduction.
To start with, we read a text about some people and their passport photos, we completed the comprehension exercises(1a-e) and did the vocabulary bank exercises to describe people.

Slides to describe people's appearance

We also studied the differences between look and look like.
Look+adjectives
look like+ nouns/pronouns
Here you have some slides to practise these structures. (I'm unable to show them in class, so you need to revise them at home).

To finish the class, we listened to two ladies describing a criminal and the students had to spot him out from a series of photos(t.3.5)
