During this class, we studied the modals verbs with a meaning of ability and possibility.
But to start with, we learned about "in case" expression. It is mainly used to say what may happen, so you'd better take precaution before it happens.
To introduce the topic, we did a matching activity. We had to match the two parts of 8 travel tips. Then, we did some grammatical exercises to distinguished between "if" and "in case" and finally, we wrote some pieces of advice including the new phrase.

We continued the session, reading a text about some people to tried to learn something, but failed.
We had to complete this text with some missing phrases and then, analyse the tenses of the verbs included in those phrases.
To finish the class, We studied the grammatical rules about the modals verbs of possibility (can, could, be able to) and did an oral activity which consisted of interviewing our partner to find out his/her abilities.
